Alex Jones, the founder of conspiracy theory site InfoWars, has been suspended from using Facebook for 30 days.
Facebook said Mr Jones, who is a notorious “alt-right” figurehead, was issued with the ban because he broke the site’s community standards.
Facebook’s move follows similar actions by YouTube earlier this week after it removed four videos from the InfoWars channel.
One of the videos shows a man pushing a child to the floor, while another features Mr Jones critcising Muslim immigrants to Europe.
“We reviewed the content against our community standards and determined that it violates [them],” Facebook told CNet. It is not yet clear what content caused Facebook to issue the suspension. …
